Hoonah is a small community located on a an island, 54 miles west of Juneau, Alaska.  Access to Hoonah is via an airport or ferry.  Hoonah's population is estimated at 495 and is 3.4 square kilometers in size.  Air Medevac is assisted with patient transport by the communities ambulance.
