ccfr_patch.gif (17309 bytes) Brush Fire - 30 Mile

On July 17, 2001,  Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to a reported brush fire at approximately 19 Mile Glacier Highway.  Tender 52, Engine 51, Utility 41 and personnel from the Auke Bay/Lynn Canal District responded.  The fire was approximately 3x3x1 in size and at no time threatening nearby structures or citizens.   A team of six firefighters were deployed with hand tools and Indian packs and were able to quickly extinguish the area. All units cleared within twenty-five minutes of the time of dispatch.
