Brush Fire - Mendenhall Wetlands

On April 16, 2001, Capital City Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a reported brush fire on the Mendenhall Wetlands between K-Mart and the Juneau Police Department.  Engine 11, Engine 33, Tender 52, Rescue 1, Medic 2, Utility 31, and Utility 41 responded with personnel from all five districts.  The fire was totally extinguished in about 45 minutes.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
