CCFR patch.gif (17309 bytes) Structure Fire - Coho Apartments

On May 3, 2001,  Capital City Fire/Rescue received a report of a structure fire at an apartment complex in the Mendenhall Valley.  Upon the arrival of the first personnel, heavy black smoke and flames were visible.  Engine 31, Engine 33, Engine 41, Rescue 1, Medic 2, Utility 31, and Utility 41 responded with personnel from the Glacier and Auke Bay/Lynn Canal Districts.  Police determined that the cause of the fire was children playing with matches.
