Dehart's Marina Fire |
On September 21, 2004, Capital City Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a reported dock fire at Dehart's Marina. Engine 31, Engine 41, and Medic 2 responded. Upon arrival, the dock was found on fire, and a class B fire over the water resulting from a suspected cut fuel line. The fuel fire on the water was contained within 21 minutes. There was an estimated 1600 gallons of diesel fuel and gasoline spilled onto the water. The Coast Gaurd and Department of Environmental Conservation were included in the clean-up.
