MVA - Mendenhall Loop and Taku Blvd.

In December of 2002, we received a call for a 2 car MVA, T-bone accident.  Engine 31, Medic Two, Engine 41, Medic One were dispatched immediately.  Upon arrival, little damage was found to one of the vehicles, with one occupant and minor injuries.  The second vehicle had major damage and 2 patients trapped upside down with both their legs pinned under the dash of the truck.  The pickup involved had rolled onto a power line guide wire.  Alaska Electrical Light and Power were called to remove the guide wire to aid in extrication.
