ccfr_patch.gif (17309 bytes) Trailer Fire - Long Run Drive

On June 25, 2001  Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to a reported structure fire on Long Run Drive in the Mendenhall Valley.  Upon arrival of the first firefighter, heavy gray smoke was reported.  Engine 31, Engine 41, Rescue 1, and Medic 2 responded with personnel from the Glacier and Auke Bay Fire Districts.   A pet in the house perished in the fire.  No other casualties occurred.   Firefighters remained on scene for nearly five hours after first arrival to extinguish hot spots and perform overhaul operations.
