On June 27, 2001 Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to a report of a fire in a restroom in the Nugget Mall.  Engine 31, Engine 41, Truck 32, Medic 2 and volunteer personnel responded.  The first arriving units found that the building had been evacuated and there was light smoke in part of the building.  An attack team entered and found that a smoke bomb had been detonated in the restroom.  No fire occurred and firefighters assisted in ventilating the remaining smoke.
